How to Update Boost Security For Each Source Code Management Application


Updating your Boost Security application for each supported Source Code Management (SCM) application is relatively easy. You only need to follow the steps below for each of the SCM apps:


Bitbucket


Updating the Boost Security application on Bitbucket requires just a few steps. Navigate to your workspace's settings page, e.g., Workspace settings, and click on the Update button.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the settings icon in the top-right corner of your workspace overview page.
  2. Choose workspace settings.
  3. Click on Installed Apps from the navigation side panel.
  4. Navigate to "Boost Security" in your list of installed apps and click on it.
  5. Click on the Update button. Boost Security requires access to it to update the application on your repository.
  6. Once again, Click on the Update button to grant access to Boost Security to be updated.
  7. At this point, your Boost Security application was updated successfully on the workspace.

GitHub


To update your Boost Security application on GitHub, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on your profile dropdown icon in the top-right corner of your GitHub overview page.
  2. Select "Settings" from the list of options shown in the dropdown options. This would take you to the Settings page.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page and click on "Applications" to navigate to the Installations page.
  4. Click on the "Configure" button by the side of Boost Security from the displayed list of GitHub Apps.
  5. Go ahead to make any updates you want for the Boost Security application.
  6. Finally, click the Save button to save your updates!!
  7. Now, you're done updating your Boost Security app on GitHub.
